The Opportunity

The objective of this Opportunity is to shortlist the submissions that best answer the brief, with the aim of attending a presentation day with the EIC Industry Partners, where it can be discussed in greater detail with a technical panel.

What is the Problem?

In 2014 a national programme was launched in Ireland to introduce an Eircode (address specific postal code – e.g., D24 NR0A). Gas Networks Ireland (GNI) set up a project to match where possible, all addresses in their existing database to an Eircode. There are however, still approximately 135k addresses that have not been successfully matched.

Preferred Output

Gas Networks Ireland are looking for a software/process that will automate the matching of legacy street addresses form their billing system to the new GeoDirectory and Eircode systems.
