Gas Networks Ireland (GNI)’s transmission and distribution gas networks are expected to soon need to accommodate a variety of gas blends, including biomethane and hydrogen. These blends will originate from multiple sources, at variable times, from numerous strategic injection sites. Innovative solutions will be required to manage and future-proof the network to ensure both quality and capacity requirements are met.
