Identification of Neutrals in LV Network Cables

Within the low voltage electricity network, conductors within cables are labelled or coloured in order to distinguish between multiple live and neutral conductors.  However, in some older cables this is not the case.  As a result, there are instances where operational teams must work on cables in which it is not straightforward to identify, and distinguish between, the different conductors. This proves to be most problematic when trying to identify the neutral conductor within a cable that is ‘dead’.
