Automated Weather Alerts and Risk Analysis
Electricity assets such as towers and substations have been designed to withstand a variety of environmental conditions. However, the increasing number of extreme weather events could expose assets to a greater risk. The primary output needs to be a proof-of-concept software solution that can automatically categorise information and identify the best call for action in relation to adverse weather events to prevent power outages. Using both existing and historic data, the proposed solution will need to be validated to ensure that the recommended criticality score is accurate. Once the solution capabilities are established, additional sources of data, such as satellite data and other publicly available information should be used in establishing risk scores.

Additionally, the solution should be able to extend and automatically consider the impact of other factors which can have an effect on asset operability.
