The needs of the energy industry are forever changing, and with the RIIO-2 price control period now firmly underway there are 5 key areas in which the UK energy networks are looking to innovate over the next 5 years: Consumer vulnerability, Net zero and energy system transition, Optimised assets and practices, Flexibility and commercial evolution and Whole energy systems.
With such diverse innovation requirements from the UK energy networks, our innovation community is equally diverse and forever growing to help innovate for the energy industry, whilst giving both established and new innovators opportunities to grow and take their innovations from idea to business as usual.

With key contacts within the energy industry, we support innovators by facilitating conversations between you and key industry decision makers. Through our networking events and ‘Meet the Networks’ webinars, we help innovators speak directly to the industry, where they can raise important questions, gather insight on innovation requirements and understand further how the networks are collaborating.
Access to funding
Our Funding Finder is available for innovators to search for relevant funding and it also exists to ensure that innovators are given the right facilities to develop and support their innovations. It is regularly updated so that innovators always have access to information and guidance on live funding opportunities.
Quality insight and resources
We offer a range of resources which provide innovators with key insights and information. Alongside this, our Single Industry Calendar consolidates important industry events that innovators can leverage to network and meet other likeminded innovators and industry decision makers.
