Time to Talk day 2023 - A day dedicated to encouraging people to have open and honest conversations about mental health. At the EIC, we believe it is essential to support the mental wellbeing of our employees and courage all our staff to talk about their mental health and reach out to one another for support.
Mental health affects all aspects of our lives and can have a significant impact on our work, relationships and overall happiness. Poor mental health can lead to increased absenteeism, decreased productivity and negatively affect work relationships. This is why it is crucial for employers to prioritise employee mental health and create a workplace culture where mental health is treated with the same importance as physical health.
At the EIC, we are committed to supporting the mental health of our employees and promoting a culture of openness and understanding. We encourage all of our staff to reach out to one another and to talk about their mental health whenever they need to. Remember, you are not alone, and it’s okay to not be okay. By promoting a supportive workplace culture, we can improve the mental health of our employees, increase productivity and create a happier, healthier workplace.
During the day, the team enjoyed delicious treats and took part in activities that ignited conversation with one another. Our employees were also encouraged to go for a walk with colleagues and ask each other questions about their lives and well-being. The office was dressed with daffodils, bright colours and TTTD23 buntings that added positivity into the work environment.
We are proud to have brought our employees together to celebrate the importance of mental health and encourage open and honest conversations about well-being. At EIC, we are committed to promoting the freedom to express oneself and creating a supportive work environment whereby our employees feel comfortable discussing their mental health concerns.
Time to Talk Day 2023 is run by Mind and Rethink Mental Illness, in partnership with the Co-op and with support from Time To Change Wales, See Me and Change Your Mind / Inspire.
