Utility Week Live 2026 takes place at The NEC Birmingham on 19 and 20 May and the Energy Innovation Centre (EIC) team will be there!
We’ll be on stand H42 throughout the event, together with representatives from our partners SP Energy Networks, Northern Powergrid, Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks, National Grid, UK Power Networks and Northern Gas Networks.
Stand visitors can stop by for a coffee across both days, meet the EIC team and partners to discover how we can work with you to transform ideas into network solutions.
We’ll also be hosting three sessions as part of the show’s content programme.
At 10am on 19 May we kick off proceedings in the brand-new show floor ‘Hub’ area with a Meet the Innovator session. Five specially selected companies will present quick fire pitches to our audience, before breaking into open networking where guests can meet them directly, explore their work and ask questions.
The following day, we head to the Innovation Lounge at 1.15pm for ‘Simplifying Access & Enhancing Support: The Industry Innovator Action Plan’. It’s an opportunity to learn about the action plan, its core aims and progress being made by the EIC and its partners so far. The interactive discussion will be hosted by our senior innovation engineer Angus Dent, with a panel featuring Sam Morre (National Grid), Amjad Karim (Keen AI) and Hannah-Lee Docherty (Ofgem).
Immediately afterwards at the Hub at 2.15pm on 20 May, our Senior Electrical Engineer Paul Jewell hosts ‘The Control Room of the Future’. This session explores the concept of the Control Room of the Future and how control room roles, systems and capabilities must evolve to improve grid resilience in the face of climate, cyber and operational challenges.
Feeling lucky? Make a pitstop at our stand on either day of the show for your chance to race away with one of three brand new Formula 1 Lego sets. Simply register your details with us then take our prize wheel for a spin for a chance to be entered into this bricking awesome giveaway.
