Muck and Mess
Currently, small amounts of spoil (≤10m3 which is approximately 13 tonnes*) from unplanned installation and repair works can be disposed of as non-hazardous waste under the RPS211 regulation.  On 31st October 2020, RPS211 will be withdrawn.  After this date, companies will be required to classify all of their waste which will mean if they do not have the ability to classify the waste on site, they will be forced to transport and dispose of all waste as hazardous.

Please note: Industry Challenges do not have a set timescale or deadline by which solutions are required. Responses to Industry Challenges are reviewed and shortlisted by the EIC, taking into consideration our partners` needs.

Should your proposal be shortlisted by the EIC, a pre-agreed timeline of how/when proposals will be reviewed and shared with our industry partners will be provided.
